She falls asleep crying with the mascara running down her face
in her hand, the camera
Visual Memories
her thumb is on the delete button.

a tear, hanging on the end of her chin,
drops
falling in slow motion, holding all her painful memories
and as it splashes on the floor, her eyes open
as she gets up, the camera falls out of her hand

she looks at the screen, a picture of him
and she whispers "I'm sick of this"
the girl, who always cried herself to sleep, finally realizes that him and her weren't meant to be

she picks up the camera
puts her fingers on the delete button
and presses it
it beeps "LOW BATTERY"
the camera turns off

she falls to her knees and screams
this one time where she can finally let go, fails her
she tries to turn it back on but it remains off
and the memories flash back in her mind

the girl grabs a pen and paper
title: FEELINGS
she tries to express herself, but the ink runs out
angry, she throws it into the bin
but misses

screams echo in the hallway, again
she grabs the love notes he once sent her
tears it half way
and bleeds
as the sharp edge of the paper, slowly cuts her hands

Great poem. I loved the hidden meaning in it. Sometimes no matter how hard you try or how much you want to you just can't let go. There's just always something stopping you...It's really good though, I added it to my favs.
