Debris Of A Wilting Faith

by Wake   Sep 12, 2007

If you had the eyes of a feline
... would you venture in the dark?
To see what lies beneath
... excruciating pain or broken hearts?

And when you stumble in the darkness
... do you hit the ground?
Or do you feel nothing but air,
... and keep on falling down?

- A new pain found on every page -
- Trapped the heart inside a cage -
- Holding onto an abating rage -
- Debris of a wilting faith -

If you find a locked up broken memory
... do you recall?
Or do you mock the situation?
... and hide the pain from everyone?

And when you find in your hand the sharpness
... do you fall?
Or will you swallow all your angst
... and make presents for everyone?

- Going round , and around this maze -
- Running from that arcane face -
- The devil's songs of serenade -
- Debris of a wilting faith -

Ok, brilliant poem mate. This flows so beautifully, and is yet so powerful. A truly great read.

"And when you stumble in the darkness
... do you hit the ground?
Or do you feel nothing but air,
... and keep on falling down?"

I think everyone can relate to that stanza, at some point every person will feel that way!
    5/5 - Nice work.
