At the beach

She's just a wave traveling back and forth
she lingers there to touch the shore
with all life's troubles
with all life's storms
she lays there
with fear
with confusion
one sunny Sunday
a lost leaf flew by
changed her direction
then she stood by
amazing how waters fall
for waves never ever fall
but just like the rain she falls
everything happened so quickly so short
then again
she's just a wave traveling back and forth
she'll wait
she'll hope
she'll touch the shore
'til the leaf flies by again
someday
just like before
