Little Boy Blue - Fairytale Style

by -] Nobody [-   Sep 12, 2007

There was once a boy who built a ladder to the moon
Sturdy enough to reach the top before shattering into
But carefully constructed and wise beyond his time
The little boy knew of the structure and of its design

Each step was said to have been built with a fine hair
A very long pole and something interlaced with the air
Though now it makes no sense where or how he started
We just know he got there and the secret never departed

For years and years it was a mystery to all of mankind
A trick seeked by magicians and those with a weary mind
How to escape the world or learn the greatest of things
How to build a ladder with a stick and a few strings

Back then the story swept the nation and gave new views
It gave people hope from what they seen on the local news
Aspirations and more, even a blessing some would say
Visions of a noble child who still walks the moon today

As crazy as it sounds, this took place a very long time ago
Thousands of years at best but on his face it never showed
We came to find that his looks were never going to fade
And that he was endowed with eternal life till this very day

Upon further study and nights looking upon his new domain
We also discovered more about the boy who never had a name
We found out that he was the neighbors to a lonesome cat
And a silver spoon with a cradle that was never coming back

We've seem him on movies such as DreamWorks and many more
He's always pushing that cradle with the kitten he adores
And if not this scene, there was always one more view
A 10 second clip of the little boy fishing from the moon

Over a short span of time many books were to be written
Novels and fairytales of this little boy and his kitten
They spoke of the moon and a boy no one had ever knew
They spoke of silver spoons and a little boy named Blue...
