Flickering Jewels

by CaffeineBomb   Sep 13, 2007

"The feather enters your mouth..."

Our tears
Flickering jewels
Shards of glass
The colour of dreams

I'm virtually convinced that you're gone for good now
But I keep making myself go on helplessly anyway
Because virtual isn't definite and there's always that chance
However slight, that I might get you back someday

Our tears flicker like jewels
Shards of glass hit the floor
Our dreams all turn black
Buried in moors

Holding all the colours in your skin one last time
My brother, I forgive you for everything now that you're gone
The shadows that called you once moved on
And the dreams that I once lived for are no longer mine

Our tears flicker like jewels
Now I belong somewhere else
You in your world
And I in mine

"The feather leaves your mouth..."

Edited the feather bits because I wasn't too sure of them myself.

I don't know if I like "The feather out your mouth..." at the end, but I loved everything up until then, especially the ending stanza. Again nice job!
