9/11, will we ever forget?

by The Herald   Sep 13, 2007

Do you remember when the towers fell?
i do
do you still think about what you were doing when it crashed?
i do
do you remember thinking that the world was going to hell?
i do
and do you remember, when bush told us to stand together, that we did
----------------------------------------------------------------
i suppose these could both be separate poems, but i think they complement each other well
----------------------------------------------------------------
and it's because we believe
and we don't stand down
and we face fear in the face
and stomp terr'ism into the ground
that we are the country, that fights all the others
that turns boys into men, and girls into mothers
and when everyone runs, and hides their face
we stand up
because we aren't afraid to face
all the problems the world puts up for us,
bring em on,
and after that, well, where's the next Saddam?

in tribute of 9/11 i thought it'd be good to have an uplifting poem
