To Shed Your Skin And Lies

by CaffeineBomb   Sep 13, 2007

Scrape away your false skin
The web of lies, of binded nerves
Talk to me with your real tongue
And your words will not die upon my ears.

For each false hope you tell
The more your world will crumble
I cannot stop the fall
But I can make sure you never do.

Talk to me -
Tell me all those secrets
That wrap around your bones and heart
That cover you in deceit
Those second eyes, that second nose
That whole second lying face.

Save all that for someone else
A fool who cannot see through
Transparency as if they were blind
A blind man and a fool at once.

Speak to me and cry
Scream with all the anger that reddens your skin
Let your pain out in waves
Hatred never was a way to live.

Wounded and stricken
Lost and without hope
You will fall if you do not save your soul.

Tell me all those secrets
Speak to me and cry
You will fall if you do not tell me all.

Very, very nice, I really enojoyed it. It really felt dark and almost spiteful to me, the first stanza is my favorite, I love the images you provoked as well, good dark piece, nice job.
