My Wedding Day

by Aodh Hyperion   Sep 13, 2007

Rain falls endlessly on the road to Kuala Lumpur
His eyes flashes in despair like fireworks for his wedding day
A carnation is lost... covered with frost
With a woman in fur
The kids still play in puddles, the gang shot the fey

You enjoy amusing me saying you know what you want
For once I thought we were for real
I showed you some more and I now I learn
What a curse can do

The prince lost conscious and now he's worried about the shame
Drowned and fooled in books he prefers to be tied to his past
Words blow flowers... deeds deny this thing of ours
I'd rather be in the backseat totally out of his frame
For me unworthy things can change so fast

You enjoy amusing me saying you can turn me into a good thing
For once I thought you were the one who needed a makeover
You showed me some more and now my memories bring
Back on what a curse can do

I got lost on my wedding day
There's this poor thing whom I ever pray
He wants to spend more time trying to be like Steve Reeves
Quitting the pot would do you good but not when no one believes
I won't hesitate in removing the strap of this tie of mine
And you all say that love will make it alright
How can you be so sure love is the cure?
I know mine but I've never known yours

It's funny when you say you know what you want
For once I nearly believed we were for real
I showed you some more and now I learn
I ran away in my wedding day
