Ocean of Emotion

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 13, 2007

Ocean of emotion, are your eyes too blind
To understand what you could find
Deep down in your heart, soul, and mind
In essence the ageless spirit of mankind

Do you remember when the ties were torn?
Did it begin at the moment you were born?
How could you feel so all alone and forlorn?
Heaven only knows what hell has sworn?

At the times your life seems so absurd
You foolishly turn from the truest word
That could place you on the wings of a bird
So that you may hear what others have heard

The wise will always seek the guiding light
To turn from the lies and the darkness of night
Love is there even when it is out of sight
Somewhere the sun always shines so bright

Oh,I love your life poems...they are so insprational and questioning
You really reflected life on this

    I especially liked;

At the times your life seems so absurd
You foolishly turn from the truest word
That could place you on the wings of a bird
So that you may hear what others have heard

This poem is more of a deep thinking poem than those that take you for an emotional ride. I loved the message, the flow was great, and it rhymed effortlessly; but, I lacked being drawn into it. None-the-less, it is flawless on any other standpoint. This was an awesome write.

    Take care!
