Jenni, I want to cry! What a sad poem! The title was very unique as was the poem. Too many people are being killed fighting this war. It's so hard to imagine the number. This poem was beautiful and sad at the same time. No wonder it was nominated! Keep it up

I'm still wondering if the narrator see's herself in the little girl, but either way, or maybe even because of this fact, I thought this poem was pretty awesome. It used some vivid imagery and was simply easy to read, because of your rhyme and word choice. The ending wasn't paticularly strong, but the excellent descriptiveness in the stanzas before make up for this lacking.

You have some clear and beautiful skill, keep at it.

    Farewell, (I'm guessing) Jennifer?!

The emotion in this piece is AMAZING. I think I got a little teary-eyed at the end. It was so sad and the vivid descriptions made it a very powerful read. There were a few lines in the begining that threw off the flow a little, but that doesn't even matter lol, it's probably just me anyway. Great piece, very gripping. 5/5

My dad died a few years back and i know exactly how this feels. to be so alone and without your daddy you feel like you're no one. i know this feeling because i lost my dad and thats a feeling of emptiness that will never leave my heart.

What a beautiful and touching write. You have portrayed loss to a child so well. It is hard for adults to come to terms with, but children must find it so, so devastating.
    Well done
