Cutters

by resisting reason   Sep 13, 2007

Even when we're alone
there is never peace or rest
not with the memories
and thoughts inside our heads
never silent, only loud
trying and trying to get out
the scream and slash
at the walls of our minds
and we need help
we give you signs
but our crys go unanswered
because they fall on deaf ears
and though you are deaf
and can not hear
you are not blind
we know you can see
so we will show you
instead of scream
we get something sharp
a blade of choice
we'll use actions
instead of a voice
and put the blade to our skin
cut deep, slow, and hard
to get your attention
with total disregard
for health and safety
we want you to never forget
only regret
not seeing us before
we collapsed, dead on the floor
