Winter Love

by Spencer Closen   Sep 13, 2007

Love like winter
so bitter cold
I bite my tongue
but my lust numbs the pain
my body frozen within his presence
but all he offers is a chilling stare
like a mental game of cat and mouse
only the cat falls victim to the rodent
my mental state seems corroded
by situations of my hearts desire
with each dream I lose reality
driving my obsessions even further
twisting deeper into our tranquil realm
where we can be together
although he may resent my blissful offer
to much time and effort spent too accept rejection
