Days have passed by
since the day we let you die
we all saw your coming fate
but no one tried until it was too late
we herd the screech and then your cries
and we watched as you slowly died
no one knew how to help
so we sat in terror at your soundless yelps
the funeral was 2 days after
we lived for months with no laughter
day seemed to go by so slow
and our feelings were swept extremely low
no one wanted to speak around your mom
and you had the worst impact on your older brother, Dom
I've never seen a 19 year old boy cry
until the day he saw you lie
in the street alone and cold
and your brother, once strong and bold
now is weak and alone
his singing voice left with no tone
his beautiful face that used to smile
is now as pale as our white ceiling tiles
we hate life because you're not here
god how we miss you being near
you were the one who taught us not to fear
and now we're the ones that are so scared
of life and death and their sweet tares
our life crashed down the day you left
and now we all seem to be deaf
it's like we can't hear you any more
or the things you used to say about that open door
how everyone has an opportunity
you just have to go by your possibilities
and how there's no such thing as luck
just skill meeting chance
