Whatever I Can Do

by AlexTheLion11   Sep 14, 2007

I'll set you high up on a pedestal
so everyone can admire you
I'll take you down once in a while
dust you off, and carefully replace you
but you grow bored and unhappy

I'll take you on a great adventure
we'll travel the world and beyond
we wont stop, never resting
and I'll never leave your side
but you become weary and worn

I'll build us a house on the beach
where the sun will warm us
and the waves will sing us to sleep
you'll hate the sea and the sun
but you learn to be patient

I'll do anything to keep you always
i don't want to ever lose you
you're more a part of me than you know
and i try hard to hold your interest
but i can only hope you'll be happy

This poem is very deep and that's what I like about it. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it, so that makes this poem excellent! It also flowed really nicely. Please keep on writing, you have talent! 5/5
