Hallway

Scream echoes, heart to ear
Tears drip. Love; rage; fear.

She'll tear herself to pieces
Just to see his smiling face
She will sacrifice her heart
Just to see if it will race

He has her so completely
Yet he doesn't even know
For though he holds her heart
She never lets it show

Her mask goes into place
Every single day
Out of doubt and the fear
She won't know what to say

Her spirit is slowly going
Her heart's already gone
So in the hallway she stops
But he moves right along.
