The Heart is but an Organ

by divine divinity   Sep 14, 2007

The heart is but an organ,
Pumping blood around the body,
Keeping the fresh from the used,
The heart is but an organ.

Yet it hurts when your not around,
It aches for your touch,
Cries for your words,
Screams for your embrace,
Begs for your return.

The heart is but an organ.

Yet its happy when your near,
It relaxes at your touch,
Starts to flutter when you speak,
Holds your love close,
And beats only for you.

The heart is but an organ.

Yet my heart is in love,
It keeps us together,
It keeps us pure,
My heart is yours,
Organ or more.

I like this one a ton too. It's written gorgeously.
In a way it reminds me of the way Edgar Allen Poe wrote.
