Racing thrills...

by TwilightSecrets   Sep 14, 2007

On her 21st birthday
This girl looks around
she knows she had a lot to drink
But she wants to go to town

Her boyfriend asks her sweetly
Is she would like a ride
but she shakes her head and turns away
setting him aside

She rages down the street
wheels screeching loud
straight through a red light
Making a lot of sound

She turns sharply at the next corner
Taking the rout to the hills
It starts to rain but she just laughs
She loves the racing thrills

Suddenly a flash of light
She screams loudly in her fright
As her car tumbles down the hill
And a flash of light so bright

When she comes to she is on the road
She moans in shock and pain
How she got there she doesn't know
She wishes she was insane

She turns around and sees the other car
has rolled over and over again
Then she sees the body near it
Lying dead was her boyfriend Ben.

Oh my gosh. That was so...wow. That last stanza really got me. So sad.

The flow and the rhythm was excellent, it kept going smoothly the entire time. The rhyme was excellent, never forced. The picture it painted too was awesome. Keep it up!
