The Kiss of Reconciliation

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 14, 2007

We long for the kiss of reconciliation
Far from the reach of undue humiliation
We stray from the path due to our pride
With no place to run to no place to hide

Some souls are not in the best of condition
We are all in need of an act of contrition
Can anyone among us cast the first stone,
To make a wicked sinner feel all alone?

Do we have the power to wash away sin?
Or to be reborn that we may live again
The healing of the heart is sacred wine
The bread of forgiveness is so divine

Forgive us lord we know not what we do
When we do anything that offends you
Acceptance of Your mercy can only lead to progression
Thanks to sharing it with amends and sacred confession
