Traveling Woe's

by Sherry Lynn   Sep 14, 2007

This Halloween will mark year three
From that fateful day you left me
Here alone in a world so cold
Surviving a future that remains untold

Hearts remain broken never to heal
Tears of pain cannot be concealed
Often lingering at your grave
Through your death I am enslaved

Yearning desperately for one more day
Just so we could talk again or even pray
Day and night my world remains shattered
Since losing you life no longer matters

With deepest sorrow and love I trudge on
Holding only memories now that you're gone
Keeping pictures of our lives nearby
Reminiscing your beauty with each tear I cry

I thought this was a GREAT poem , the rhyming was good and never seemed forced, and it just flowed, and the sadness and sorrow coursing throughout the poem really jumps of the screen, a well deserved
