Judgement Day

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 14, 2007

Storm clouds are gathering
A lightning strike
Senses are singed
What is this place?
We have never been here
Gloom enshrouding us
I can feel nothing good
Nausea slowly creeping up my throat
A sickening knot
Choking my stomach
Confusion sets in
Where have you brought us?
Putrid scents begin to linger
What is on the air?
The stench of death
Dying emotions
Souls being severed
Dreams flash
Quickly consumed by the fire
Ashes fall from the sky
All we knew
Falling around us
This must be the end
The death of love

I'm not always a huge fan of poems that are written all in one big stanza. It's just a personal preference of mine, but yeah. I still liked this, though. The questions throughout were a nice added touch.

I think this is one of the first poems that I have read from you that isn`t inspirational..but you did such a great job on it even so and it was nice to see you expand your talent and show it off...it`s a great talent and it`s good to see you embracing it, great job.
