The Angry Waters

by CaffeineBomb   Sep 15, 2007

You made me realise I was better off alone
My life was hell; you made it that way
Everything was done for you
Nothing was ever good enough
Always just one step up when I should have taken two
Nothing ever impresses you

I had to hide parts of myself
Lock them away where you couldn't sneer
All of it drove me to stupid things
Nothing was ever good enough
You never gave me chance to spread my wings
You never cared about a thing

You never understood me
But you kept on pretending otherwise
You can't face how useless you are
Nothing was ever good enough
I covered my arms whilst they were bleeding from scars
And everything was always so hard

Bubbling under
This resentment breathes fire
And I'm boiling
Simmering
Close to the edge
Control is a balance
And I'm falling
I'm slipping
And it's been this way ever
Since you were there

If beauty were anger, then I'd be beautiful
If honour were anger, then you'd honour my word
If trust were anger, you'd always believe me
And if love were anger, then I'd love you.

I love the way you worded the poem especially the last line in the last stanza
"And if love were anger, then I'd love you. "
it seemed you were holding that in for the whole poem it also seemed that was more of the subject though anyway i give it the 5/5, hope you get more acounts
