I won't run to you

by Lori Lee   Sep 15, 2007

I'm not a child, in your eyes
at least not anymore
you've given up on me...
it's a real thing, it's for sure

and it's so disgusting
the way you talk to me
when you're looking my way
I wonder who it is you see

maybe you forgot who I am
but I think it's safe to say
no matter who I am,
you shouldn't talk to me that way

and you're the one person
who's supposed to care
and be there for me
when no-one else could be there

but you're so caught up in your universe
you can't see my pain
and I just wish you would (for my sake)
act a little sane

but its okay. don't say you'll be there
cause i know you wont be
and i wont go running to you
when i need somebody.
