What a difference a day makes

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 15, 2007

How may we expect to get things done,
If we rest constantly under the sun?
Tomorrow is always out of our sight
While we lay dreaming into the night

Creation progresses day by day
As the true light shows the way
Yesterday is a memory indeed
Existing to fill a future need

We must live for today somehow
The only thing that matters is now
When we learn from past mistakes
What a difference a day makes

The last stanza is fantastic, for one thing. This piece is wonderful because it talks about the future in a very truthful way. Great job.
