That's No Longer Me

by mikaella   Sep 16, 2007

I want to feel the cold blade slide against my skin
A smooth incision
I want to see the blood bubble up and start to drip,
Like a river it runs down my fore arm
I don't want to want this destruction to myself
Yet the crimson color is binding
The shiny red painted razor hypnotizing,
Reeling me into a sacred promise of no more,
I say no as i look in the mirror,
I say yes
I look at my reflection, it looks like me
but it ain't me
the girl is bleeding everywhere
she has what I'm addicted too
I say no
she says yes
She goes at her veins again...so smoothly
does it puncture her skin
I look down
That's no longer me
