No Happy Ending

The first day i met you
Was heaven to me
You were perfect for me
In every single way

We kept on talking
Every single night
And in such a short time
I fell deeply in love with you

We decided to give us a try
And everything went well
We were always together and happy
At least i thought we were happy

3 months into the relationship
All the time and love i put into it
I guess it wasn't enough
Because you left me

You left me
Without a reason
Without a good-bye
Just a lot of tears to cry

The months passed
And you wouldn't tell me a reason
And then one day
You decided to let me know

You said it was the age difference
There is 4 years between us
But I thought they always said
Age isn't anything but a number

I guess that isn't true
I still love you
And you still love me
But we aren't together

Someday hopefully
We will be together
And we will both be happy again
And then maybe I will get my happy ending
