Happiness Fades Away

by blackheartslove   Sep 16, 2007

A small red pill every day
That's all it takes
To keep the sadness away
All it takes
To drive out her anger
To put a smile on her face

A pill to regulate emotions
She contemplates the thought
But what kind of empty person
Can't be happy in their own way
So down the drain the red pill goes
But still every morning the tears spill down

Is this who she is
Deep down inside
A cold hearted person
With no tears left to cry
An angry soul
That's fading away
And every day is
A new black page

Her eyes portray her inner most being
Blue velvet pools of betrayal unseen
Every night she cries black tears
She's still so unhappy through all the years
So with a glass of milk
She swallows it down
Looks like it will take this magic pill after all
For she has no power over her own happiness
