No One Cared Before

Many people knew my problems
Many people knew my pain
Many people knew I've struggled
But only said, "Someday things will change".

I helped them with theirs
I've done all I could do
But no one ever appreciated it
Not even a "Thank You".

But that's ok, I mean
It takes time for one to realize
How much one person cared
Enough to open up their eyes.

But no one cared enough
To help remove this thorn
That has been in my heart
And has only grown.

No one cared like you did
No one wanted to help
People always wanted to "save me"
But only brought me closer to hell.

So thank you for everything
Your sweet doings consoled
All of my broken heart strings
That no one cared for before.
