My haven, my sin

I was not able to face them.
it took all my will power just to keep them at bay.

Brother...

times and times we shared,
endless laughing fits.

I tried not to fail...

love that we showed no other,
loyalty that we were proud of.

But it was too painful to accomplish...

terror that i had never felt,
crimson tears of victory.

Slowly i drew it out...

my breath now in shallow amounts,
fear is approaching.

"You saved my heart..."

did i?
i still failed in your piercing eyes.

"Brother, i ran away."

emotionless,
i have not changed.
