Two hearts

by Essence Hope   Sep 16, 2007

Two hearts combined as one,
You and I forever until death,
Our love for one another begun,
When I took my first living breath.

Lying by your side each night,
Listening to your heartbeat slow,
A flame inside of me does ignite,
And brightly it will always glow.

I look into your eyes and I see,
All the love that you have to give,
All the love you've gave to me,
And all that helps me love and live.

I'll never stop loving you with all my heart,
And my body aches to hold you near,
Every second that we will spend apart,
I'll shed one single lonesome tear.

All to often do authors use the abab rhyme scheme, and you can see where rhymes were mushed in just to fit the form...but you certainly dont have that problem, you kept form while making the poem run smoothly, its very hard to do and you truly do have amazing talent, keep up the good work

This reminds me of my boyfriend, a poem which other people can relate to is hard to do because you hold a high responsibility, i think this was pulled offf :D a few minor flaws but still good xxx alex xxx
