Dance

My heart lets loose
the butterflies arise
my stomach drops
my brain in surprise

your lips are soft as they touch mine
but now we move, we move in time

our feet keeping up, our hearts slowing down
our bodies sway, our hands now drown

my vision is blurred, were spinning so fast
the beat slows down, how i hope this lasts

one last kiss, one last pound
one last touch, one last sound

my head is whirling, we slowly stop
the background is silent, we feel we might drop

I let go of your shoulders, and we return to the crowd
but our hearts are still racing, still beating out loud.

AWE, lol! I could actually feel that emotion. Thta is one thing i love about your poetry you are able to picture it in your mind. In a way I think I may have a poem like this. If I am right in the poem about heart pounding and the cowd fading that its meant that those people are so caught up in the moment that they feel as though they are the only ones around. Thanks for the comments. They are sweet.
