Consume

by Dan Doyle   Sep 17, 2007

An abysmal void, dark, spiraling
Consumes my thoughts
The very essence of my being,
knotted, twisted.... consumed.

Every thought, every breath,
Has existed only for you,
Now... each thought, each breath,
Just a remembrance - consumed

Consumed by the ravenous,
I am but just a thought,
Of times once exciting and new,
Now, I say in sorrow,

Be on your way, consumer
Do not look back,
Consume something new... fresh,
But do not consume me

Consume,
Tear, rip, shred it to pieces,
Consume and digest it,
For tomorrow
You may have nothing to consume...

So dark and twisted and yet when i read it i feel like there might be hope or theres a need for hope. anyway i love this, it fresh, its new and it seems so surreal, not sure why. anyway would love to read more from you!
