The Edge of Misery and Dispair

by Kyle Sacha   Sep 17, 2007

I envy that girl
so close to the edge
inch, girl, closer, girl
closer to the edge of misery and despair

slowly she walks
i envy her so
slower, girl, closer, girl
slowly to the edge of misery and despair

she talks to herself
midday down the street
drifting, girl, dancing, girl
dancing toward the edge of misery and despair

the unfixable girl
the one i envy so
waiting for her tears to cleanse
cleansing tweeds the edge of misery and despair

she's falling now
that envious girl
faster, girl, falling girl
falling over the edge of misery and despair

i watch as she falls
leaning to see
that girl i so envy
i suddenly realize:
that girl was me.
