The Clock Strikes

by TrueLover   Sep 17, 2007

The clock strikes six
And you still haven't called
But I'm not worried yet,
I just know you aren't home
The clock strikes seven
And now I'm mad
You said you'd be here by now
But you still aren't around
The clock strikes eight
My tears are of hurt,
Mixed with pangs of worry
And you're nowhere to be found
The clock strikes nine,
It's okay, I found a way home
Then the phone rings and it's you
You never realized I was hurt
Because you forgot,
All those long hours ago
And the clock strikes ten
On me, all alone.
