Trees of Age

by Wings Of Flames   Sep 17, 2007

Trees sway softly in mourn,
Broken splinters borrow,
Forgotten limbs unmended,
To drown in tears of sorrow,

A lapse in concentration,
Avast your love has lost,
Goodbye to your heart,
In distance it will cost,

Fallen soldiers failing,
My mind torn in shatters,
Stars cry milky tears,
And hate is all that matters,

In darkness we will meet,
A tragic loss of breath,
We are fallen soldiers,
Fallen unto death,

My spirit cries for justice,
Why can't you see light?
You insist on falling,
Breaking out of sight,

The wind tears at me,
An infernal gust of hate,
When will angels see?
This mustn't be our fate,

I seek and crave your love,
A strength I do thrist,
But denial is my saviour,
And thus it is the worst,

Plead in the darkness,
But ignorance is bliss,
When all is turned to lust,
And one last burning kiss.

This is an awesome poem! A unique demonstration of the subject. Descriptive, fluid, heartfelt. I really enjoy the way this piece is written. A very nice job on it, friend. Keep it up!
