Walking in the past

by Tracy D Rollings   Sep 17, 2007

"Walking in the past"

I find myself living what I call a normal life
where things seem to always go so wrong
started out in my childhood and ended with my ex-wife
but even now things appear to drag alone
memories of the my past keep holding me down
I write it all still thinking that it was my fault
makes me feel like I'm some kind of a clown
but walking in the past is something I was taught
can't give in to the things that bring me down
I'll keep on writing so I can stick around..©2007 Tracydr42

I feel as though i connected with this line and get what you mean about it.
I write as a form of escape if things are really troubling me i write it down and i feel it really does help me.
I always love your poems, an absolute pleasure to read.
I love everything about it, its deep, gets you thinking, i just love it.
    Take care

I like it a lot, whole poem is greatly written and very descriptive. My favorite lines are:

-I write it all still thinking that it was my fault
makes me feel like I'm some kind of a clown
but walking in the past is something I was taught
can't give in to the things that bring me down-

The atmosphere that you created through this piece is excellent, and you did very good job with rhymes.
Keep up, 5/5 from me :)
