A bird that flies no more

by amber   Sep 17, 2007

A bird that flies no more
Exactly how I feel
You took my wings from me
And showed me that its real

Always and forever
What we've always planned
Why can't we be together?
I just don't understand

A bird that flies no more
Can't escape this night
I can't escape the lies
I can't escape this fight

There has to be a reason
Something I can't find
The reason that you're leaving
You've left me far behind

A bird that flies no more
Trapped forever and alone
I don't know how I'll make it
Forever on my own

I can't fly no more
Because I'll fall apart
First you stole my wings
Then you crushed my heart

I really love this one. You did a great job rhyming, but keeping the meaning and the poem from being too cliche... great!
