Remember... happiness is the best revenge

by Behind Blue Eyes   Sep 17, 2007

The distance in my eyes
Has yet to cease in growing.
And you're too blind to see
Exactly what I'm not showing.
But you freely accept the lies
That I can't help but tell.
While I'm showing you a heavenly life,
In fact, I'm living in hell.
For once in your life,
Can you take off the blindfold?
And see the folding hand
That I can't help but hold.
Maybe you could listen,
To the things I dare not say.
Maybe then, next time, I'll believe you
When you say everything will be okay.
But as long as you ignore the facts
That are laid out, neatly, for you
You will never know the real me,
Honest, raw and true.
