Every scent of You

by Gabrielle   Sep 17, 2007

Creeping into the darkness where failure and sadness lyes.
Forgetting all the struggle, never asking the reasons why.
Face down in the pillow I breathe in every scent of you.
Counting pointless tears, knowing the good times were very few.
Feeling the heartbeat in my head, I know I'm still alive.
The memories flood in, it's too late to salvage this useless life.
Looking around all the colors begin to blend.
All the faces that surround me fall of those I once called friend.
Shouldering the blame now becomes so hard to digest.
Living every day with regret, now putting it to rest.
Maybe the angels will lift me above my sarrow.
Closing my eyes, I will never again see tomorrow.
