A war she can't win

by Alexis   Sep 17, 2007

A girl who has fought many times before
sees something different about this war

she fights and fights but it wont end
she needs some help she needs a friend

yet theres no one there not even when shes afraid
she wished for someone to come to her aid

right now a helping hand would be a wonderful thing
in her eyes tears started to sting

all she knew was how to fight
she had never fought an enemy with so much might

she looked up and something made her gasp
she had never seen something like this in the past

her enemy had numbers to back them up
all she had was a bow an arrow and a hope of luck

bullets and bomb shells came showering at her
the last thing she would hear was her enemies laughter

they laughed because they knew how the war would end
they knew they would win because she had no friend

no one to help her in times of pain
no one to cover her when there was rain

no one to keep her safe through her troubles
no one to dig her up from beneath the rubble

the last lesson she would learn before her life's end
is that without a friend every war is
a war she can't win

I loved the whole entire poem, it flowed nicely and just had a lot of relatable emotion in it...I do suggest though, seperating your lines so its easier on the eyes...but amazing poem!
