The calm before the storm

by Miakoda   Sep 17, 2007

The light you sought
to brighten the dark
The calm before the storm

The war you fought
to relinquish the spark
And the arms you sit in so warm

The feeling of hate
That course through you heart
the tip of the burning flame

The rod iron gate
That keeps you apart
from the pressure and the blame

The tears you cry
That stream down your cheeks
The sadness in your soul

The times you didn't try
To forget the weeks
When that of my life you stole.
