TreeHouse

by The Joker   Sep 18, 2007

When we were little daddy built us a tree house
with a ladder and everything else
we would play on it until the stars would shine
it reach toward the sky
and touched the heavens

You were scared to go on it
crying saying you needed help
you were afraid of heights
and I helped you every time

The years went by and so did I
I couldn't stand you and all your whining
saying you needed me and hold you close

I remember that day well when you left this earth
you wanted to go in the tree house
but needed my help
"What are you stupid?"I yelled at you
you cringed at my words and left my room
I left for a friends but got a message from mom and dad
"Your brother..he's gone"

You went up in the house
and jumped off
"it was suicide"they said

And every time I go near that house
I can hear you say
"Look Frank, I not afraid anymore"
and as I walk away I can hear your laughter
