December Kiss

by Sarah   Sep 18, 2007

As time goes on
I will always remember
The romantic memories
Of that wonderful December

Whether you will or not
Is hard to say
Because I don't know if you're aware
How much you really made my day

I waited all day
Waiting all for your face
Hoping when I saw you
It would be your kiss I'd soon taste

The sweetest sound of that day
Was of the final bell
I was overcome with happiness
Anyone could tell

At the end of the day, I saw you
I got hugged, but not kissed
But I didn't care
Because it was you that I missed

After a while I was craving
The feeling of your lips
And maybe another hug
To feel you on my fingertips

Once Cassie talked to me
She knew what to do
She then left me
And started talking to you

I didn't want her to
But she knew what to say
Because what happened then
Made it my best day

You called me towards you
As I was feeling meek
Then you gave me a hug
And a kiss on the cheek

I was so happy
Though I didn't get to taste
After a while my mom asked
"Why is there red on your face?"

I was blushing so much
As I looked in the mirror
And I knew it'd get worse
As you came nearer

At the concert my friends
Also wondered about the red
They had an idea
And then I said

"He kissed me on the cheek
I can't help that I blush"
They were all excited for me
But I told them to hush

For if his ex heard
There'd be a lot more red
And it'd be more than blush
For I would be dead

So I was safe
Cause no one told
Now I'm here
Watching events unfold

Though now we're not as close
I will always miss
The sweet, romantic memory
Of that December kiss
