Puddle Pictures

Puddle Pictures

one year creeps by
every day passing near
a corner painting a picture.

to the common man purely invisible
to the blinding blue eye,
to the photographer, simply unmistakable

glassy smooth top it sits
muddy junk sinks to the bottom
a tree resides on the surface

one shot captures a new world
each one telling a different story
some of tall trees, others fields of yellow daisies

the rain created murals
lazily waiting for a colorful boot
splish splashing it's way down the street

those still pictures once calm
now reduced to far apart droplets
waiting to rejoin again

a puddle sits on that corner
everyday calling me to take its glassy photo
of the trees reflection resting on the surface

I LOVE this. It has long been a dream of mine to be a photographer, I`m going to college for it next year and this poem really stood out to me. It hit to my passion and I think that`s one of the things that really pulled me into this overall. You did a great job on this.
