Sunrays

by Arunansu   Sep 18, 2007

Spectrum
of the noontime Sun
filter through
array of casement panes.

Murk of sandy glasses
couldn't deter
weaving a carpet
with luminous decor,
down the passage
by a stairway.

Silvery shafts engulf
mouthful of obscurity -
glum interiors
feel
radiant beam.

Speckled shade and shine
mirror
blueprint of expected poetry.

But it couldn't conquer
your footprints.

The stairs have taken
them along
in downward flight.

Sunrays miss out
-few blues.
