Longing for my love

I wrote something some time ago,
When our love did just start.
Now time's rolled on, you've come and gone,
You even stole my heart.

Your visit was a short 3 weeks,
But in that time we changed.
I posed a question, you said yes
And now we are engaged.

I wish you didn't have to go
Back to your home abroad,
I think about you all the time
And more-so when I'm feeling bored.

I'd like to tell the people who
Are reading this short story,
That love IS what they say it is
In all its "glam and glory".

My darling I do love you,
I know you know it's true but with
The distance put between us...
Sometimes I feel blue.

The roller-coaster we are on
Will soon come to an end I'm sure,
Then all our tears will dissapear
As we embrace some more.

I long to hold you close my love
To hug and kiss you once again,
Cus only hugs and kisses dear
Can save me from this pain.

I'll finish up this poem now
And dream of times with you,
With hopes that all who read this know
That darling, I Love You!
