Ghost of the Lost Love

by zizlo   Sep 18, 2007

Coincidence never does coincide
Hiding- I know I cannot forever hide
I tell you- I know this shall be my last Breath
Forgive me and caress my grave with a Wreath

Love and Hate- I know those we have shared
Once Eagerness- then Regret- now we are merely scared
In difference we have the Unknown
In common we have the Love we have long outgrown

Desperate and hoping in desperate Need
For the hour when we can be freed
Let go of me now and let me return
Hold me close and let your Passion burn

Frozen Time- for a moment I will have you
Next moment- it is your chance to be true
and to try to move on and walk mile by mile
to try and make steady your shaky Smile

I tell you- halt the Flow of your tears
Your Memories of me shall cool your fears
Remember me as the home that housed your love
Remember me as the soul watching you from above

Slowly stand up and find the Way back
Leave my body behind- Nature will cover my back
Let Instinct be your compass
Step by step- you will lose your Ghost of Numbness
