Silence

by lonelynow   Sep 18, 2007

A tangle of hair,
A sunken smile
Hollows where curves are meant to be.
Her stomach's filled with emptiness.
Friendships drop away like weight,
Slipping through her finger-like ribs.
Her hip bones frighten,
And her lupine eyes scare.
Her head is too full of calories
So that memories fade into mist.
Her self-worth can be obtained with a tape measure
And engraved onto her thigh.
And cameras are her enemy,
With a face like waxen death.
