O, Redundancy, Thee That Never Gives Away.

by ghosts in bloom   Sep 18, 2007

Let not winter's hideous hand deface
With back-wards ebb sweet summer's memory.
Within thine heart's asylum -- thou embraced
The impure grain of ancient emery.
Quietly beget song that bypasses perchance,
Ere time distilled and thee alienate.
Thine melody need impression enhance,
Arduous brisk breath of the seasons satiate.
Naked surface threatened in every essence
Yet proving beauty by succession thine!
The winter's grasp be gone with evanescence,
But not shall winter forever resign.
Loathe not the seasons of resurrection.
What is ice, without fire's recollection?

This piece was very beautiful I liked this most out of the two I have read today of yours. The word choice really unique and deep I love that so much about your work I can't explain it but they truely touch my heart. Well done with this piece also such an amazing nature poem with perfect imagery. ~Mel

Well penned of nature poetry you portrait here, like a story that is shared and passed on, each listener touched, then in turn becoming the storyteller who touches another. Beautiful imagery yet so heartfelt emotions. Beautiful done!
