She smiles as if she knows everything,
she smiles as if something is missing.
She smiles as if she's glad and contented,
She smiles as if she's sad and disappointed.
She smiles meaningfully to me,
I cannot read her depth of mind.
I try to analyze it carefully;
is it cruel or is it kind?
I forget one very crucial thing,
to read her smile first read her eyes.
When i realize I look at her,
but then her smile has already died.
There are many meanings in her smile,
I hope I learn it by & by.
Was it a lively one or was it dead?
Was it from the heart or just one she made?
Was it because of me or was it not?
Her smile brings hope,
her smile brings joy.
Every time I see her smile it lights me up.
