Cherish

by Steven   Sep 18, 2007

A single hand shake
anything you seem to touch
i take my time to remember them all
a song you once sang for me
a dollar bill you exchanged with me
i cherish it
as if it was the world to me

a single moment you laugh
anything you seem to say
i take my life to understand and remember it
a tear you shed
a story you exchanged with me
i cherish it
as if it was my whole life

a single hug you give
anything you seem to laugh about
i take my faith in remembering those moments
A sudden fall to my arms
a warm feeling you exchanged with me
i cherish it
as if it was my very own soul

these moments are fading away
these feelings are drifting toward the past
i want to cherish you
i want to love you
even if it has to give my life or world
even if i have to climb mountains or hills
i want to reach you
i want to feel free along with you
this freedom is nothing
if your not there to be in it
i want to exchange one final thing
exchange our love for each other just this once
please?
